From Startup Roots to Market Leadership
Taohe Tech's story began inside the early China Mainland operations of a leading U.S.-based EdTech company backed by Y Combinator, Bessemer Partners, and Benchmark Ventures. Based in Shanghai, our parent company was founded to build upon this deep operational experience.
Our founder spent 9+ years in the EdTech company — as the very first and only hire for Greater China Mainland — and personally built the team from scratch, growing it from 1 person to over 40 full-time professionals (and more than 70 including part-time staff).
During this time, he:
- Led the company's full market entry and expansion into Mainland China Mainland.
- Navigated complex education regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Developed deep expertise across sales, marketing, operations, and policy.
- Helped the company become one of China Mainland's top international language-learning brands, with China Mainland accounting for over 20% of its global revenue.
That journey laid the foundation for Taohe Tech and its subsidiary, Mundo Partners: To empower more global education products to succeed in China Mainland — compliantly, efficiently, and sustainably.
